Principal Message

Principal Bob Richards

Dear Lakeview Families,

Our district benefits from a property tax levy that was approved by voters in 2016. Funds from this levy are used for library books, technology, security enhancements, and smaller class sizes, among many things. This levy will expire soon, so the Clover Park School District will place a Replacement Levy on the February 11, 2020 ballot.  If you aren’t registered to vote, please register soon.

Some may ask, “Doesn’t the legislature fully fund education now?” While we are grateful to our state legislature for the funding we receive, not all education costs are fully funded. Levy dollars are used to provide programs and services beyond the state definition of a basic education.

In other winter news, now is a good time to review wellness and hygiene with our kids! Please remind your child to wear a warm jacket to school and to wear that jacket at recess.  Please also encourage frequent hand-washing using soap. And while we encourage strong attendance at school, please keep your child home to rest if they have a fever or are obviously ill. We are doing everything we can to keep a safe, healthy educational environment for our students.

Thank you for partnering with us to provide an excellent education for every Lakeview Leopard.

Sincerely,

Bob Richards

Principal
