Principal Message

Principal Bob Richards

At Lakeview Hope Academy, we believe in Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS). Part of PBIS is having a clear set of expectations which is taught to all students. We call it…

The Leopard Way

- Respectful – We are kind to everyone

- Responsible – We do our work and have fun

- Safe – We keep our school safe and orderly

As students demonstrate The Leopard Way around school they may earn a Leopard Paw, which is a paper ticket with a paw print on it. Students write their names on these tickets and collect them in a designated location in their classrooms. Each class has a goal and an agreed-upon reward for reaching their goal. Student Paws are also called over the announcement each morning, letting our students know that we are proud of them.

Students who go “above and beyond” in showing PBIS expectations – whether by helping a friend, persevering through a challenge, or doing something extra special – can earn I Spotted You tickets. These are special rewards that students can save to spend at our upcoming Student Store.

Ask your child about The Leopard Way. Talk to them about the Paws they are earning, and ask if they have earned an I Spotted You ticket yet. Teaching our students to be kind, compassionate friends helps make Lakeview a great place to learn and grow!

Sincerely,
Bob Richards
